Stranded in the Bahamas during the pandemic, cousins Logan Roschman and Clark turned a family tradition into a tropical revelation. Their families had been hopping across the islands since childhood. Logan’s mom and Clark’s dad are siblings, so the duo grew up on salt air, sunshine, and coconuts. As adults, island trips with friends meant gathering fresh coconuts, splashing in some rum, and toasting to paradise. But when COVID left them without mixers, they cracked open coconuts straight from the shore and realized they’d accidentally created something incredible and unexpectedly smooth, hydrating, and downright delicious. The next morning, instead of a hangover, they woke up with a business idea. That discovery inspired Two Drums, a Caribbean-born, electrolyte-packed, hydrating rum blend that captures the taste of pure paradise in every can.
“It was so much fun,” said Logan Roschman. “We’re very easy-going, and that goes with the nature of the brand. But what makes this even better is doing all of this with family and for so many other people.”
Inspired by that serendipitous moment, Logan Roschman and Clark Drum saw more than just a delicious drink; they saw opportunity. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs who had dabbled in everything from small local ventures to bold creative projects, they’d grown up watching risks turn into rewards. That entrepreneurial spirit pushed them to take their coconut-rum revelation beyond the sand. What started as a playful experiment quickly transformed into a mission: to capture the taste, energy, and magic of the Bahamas in every can of Two Drums, turning a family tradition and a lockdown twist into a vibrant business ready to make waves.
“My mom’s maiden name is Drum,” said Roschman. “Clark’s last name is Drum, and we put it together to be the two Drums. The name, we struggled with forever, and once someone mentioned it, we knew it’d work.”

After sketching out their vision for Two Drums, they fumbled through early attempts to bring it to life, running into manufacturers who couldn’t deliver their tropical twist the way they imagined.
“We definitely had our share of trial and error,” said Clark Drum. “We went to a large formula house because it felt like the obvious move for a new brand, but the product they created didn’t match what we envisioned. It tasted generic and didn’t celebrate the coconut water or the laid-back, functional angle that makes Two Drums different.”
Switching gears, they found another team willing to take a chance, but that only opened the door to the maze-like world of the alcohol industry, where, as Roschman put it, “red tape was everywhere.” Still, the cousins kept pushing, navigating regulations, paperwork, and countless taste tests, determined to bottle the island magic that started it all.
“That experience forced us to pivot, learn quickly, and work with smaller,” said Drum. “More collaborative partners who actually understood what we were trying to build. Looking back, those early missteps taught us everything.”
Despite the hurdles, the cousins’ determination paid off because every manufacturing misstep and every twist of industry red tape eventually paved the way to a breakthrough: three vibrant, island-inspired flavors that taste like success itself. Their lineup now bursts with personality, starting with Original Lime, the signature sip that launched the brand. It’s a crisp, tropical escape in a can—a hydrating sparkling coconut water cocktail made with real coconut water, real rum, a hint of cane sugar, and natural flavors, all at just 120 calories, 4 grams of added sugar, and 4.5% ABV.

“We’re working on a new flavor that I’m really excited about,” said Drum. “I won’t give away too much yet, but it’s inspired by a classic cocktail you’d sip on a tropical island, something bright and fun that instantly puts you in vacation mode. Formulation is one of the most enjoyable parts of the process for us. We get to sit down with our team, taste through different versions, and keep tweaking until it feels exactly right. The only downside is that sampling alcoholic formulas at ten in the morning can make for a pretty interesting afternoon, but that’s part of the job description, I guess.”
Then comes Florida Orange, bright and sunny with the citrusy punch of their home state, followed by Maui Pineapple, a juicy nod to Hawaiian paradise that practically glows with flavor. Each one is refreshing, island-fresh, and crafted from the same spark of ingenuity that started on a quiet pandemic beach, proof that even the bumpiest path can lead to something delicious.
“We do very well in the beach hotels,” said Roschman. “We focus on outdoor venues like 15th Street Fisheries. Also, Water Taxi is one of our biggest accounts, The Shorley, and The Fitz. We’re also available at Total Wine.”
Their journey didn’t stop at what’s inside the can. Fueled by that same island-born creativity, Logan Roschman and Clark Drum pushed Two Drums beyond beverages and into a full-blown lifestyle. What started as a coconut-rum hack now lives on in a growing line of apparel like sun-washed tees, beach-ready hats, and gear made for people who don’t just drink the island vibe, they wear it. Their brand now captures the whole experience: the taste of paradise, the feeling of adventure, and the look of those long Bahamian days that inspired it all.

“We even started giving out apparel to family and friends,” said Roschman. “I’m always wearing a Two Drums hat, and now, we made a bunch of new styles for hats, and we have the hats on our website and at events. We also sell them at the Lauderdale Marina Dock store, and even when we’re out on Las Olas, I’ll see people I don’t even know wearing our hat.”
The momentum didn’t stop with the cans or the clothing because Two Drums quickly became a presence everywhere the sun shines. Logan and Clark took their island-born brand on the road, popping up at beach parties, boat events, and even a volleyball tournament that drew crowds looking for good vibes and great drinks. They teamed up with the Lauderdale Run Club, fueling runners with refreshing island energy after their coastal miles.

Their biggest confidence boost came from stepping onto major stages: Savor South Florida in Hollywood in March 2025 and Savor St. Pete in October 2025, where Two Drums went head-to-head with some of the biggest names in beverages and walked away with Best Brew.
“We were up against some of the biggest national brands in the seltzer space,” said Drum. “So, taking home the award twice felt like real validation that what we’re building resonates.”
That win wasn’t just an award; it was validation that their fumbled beginnings, coconut-cracking ingenuity, and relentless drive had evolved into a brand with real force.

“Getting Two Drums in front of the Publix team and earning that recognition has been one of our proudest milestones as a young brand,” said Drum.
What began as a coconut cracked open on a Bahamian beach now flows through beach bars, boats, festivals, and fitness events across South Florida. With family at the core and paradise in every pour, Two Drums isn’t just capturing island flavor, but it’s bottling a way of life that invites everyone to slow down, celebrate, and sip like they’re already on vacation.
“We’re family, and some families don’t work well together,” said Roschman. “But we do, and when you get to a point where it’s people who have no relation to you, and you win best product or have support from the community, it means everything to us.”
