Haley Goldberg grew up in a kitchen alive with warmth, laughter, and the golden aroma of banana bread rising in the oven. Her family’s cherished holiday ritual involved overripe bananas turned into something magical. The recipe wasn’t just food; it was memory baked into every slice, shared across crowded tables and festive moments. While a majority of college kids were reaching for late-night fast food runs and quick convenience snacks while studying, she entered the world of fitness and intentional living. She didn’t leave that family tradition behind; instead, she transformed it. Haley Goldberg reimagined her beloved banana bread into a modern, nourishing creation that bridges comfort and wellness, proving nostalgia and a fitness lifestyle can rise together beautifully.
“This was in 2023,” said Goldberg. “In college at Florida Gulf Coast University, my friends and roommates loved my banana bread. I then did a farmer’s market, and realized banana bread, and healthy living can be a business and come together.”
Haley Goldberg didn’t set out to just “make another snack.” She set out to fix a problem she kept running into. Everywhere she looked in the protein snack aisle, she saw the same story: long ingredient lists that read like chemistry experiments, bars packed with fillers, and products marketed as “healthy” that didn’t truly feel good to eat. The more she paid attention, the more frustrated she became by how limited the options were for people who actually cared about what they put into their bodies.
Between misleading labels, artificial ingredients, and snacks that sacrificed taste for hype, she realized the market was missing something real. That frustration turned into inspiration. Instead of settling, she decided to create Bite Me Protein Bakery: A better, cleaner, more honest protein snack that finally bridges the gap between nutrition and enjoyment, proving that you don’t have to compromise to snack smart.

“I went through a rough time with my dad having cancer and getting broken up with,” said Goldberg. “But fitness helped me, and I came back to Florida in 2025 to show that healthy eating and banana bread from my family tradition can be one.”
As more people got a taste, they kept coming back for more. They loved how something so familiar could feel so indulgent yet balanced, and that’s when she started experimenting in earnest. Now at 24, Haley Goldberg of Bite Me Protein Bakery has reimagined the recipe into a protein-rich, low-sugar, gluten-free banana bread designed to keep you fuller longer without losing its comforting soul. What began as a family tradition has become her signature blend of wellness and nostalgia. It’s proof that even the most classic recipes can be redefined for a modern lifestyle.
“I experimented with different flour and protein, and I kept going,” said Goldberg. “We have so much to choose from, and one of our most popular is the vegan cookie dough truffle.”
Haley Goldberg of Bite Me Protein Bakery has built a lineup of treats that look and taste like pure indulgence but are secretly crafted with a fitness-first mindset. Think bakery-level comfort rebuilt for modern wellness. Her chocolate chip banana bread is soft, golden, and melty in all the right places, while her brownies hit that rich, fudgy depth without the sugar crash.

She also reimagines classics like blueberry banana bread bursting with fresh, juicy sweetness, protein-packed muffins perfect for on-the-go fuel, and cinnamon rolls that deliver that warm, spiced swirl experience. It’s lightened up but still unapologetically satisfying. Every bite is designed to be low in sugar, high in protein, and built to keep you fuller longer, proving that healthy eating doesn’t have to feel like a compromise, but it can feel like dessert done right.
“The best part is nothing tastes vegan or like cardboard,” said Goldberg. “We use simple ingredients and not a long list of items like you’d see in some food aisles. I think people are starting to wake up and see the real side and real ingredients that should be in our food supply.”
Beyond the kitchen, she brings these creations directly to the community. She will show up at local farmers markets and wellness-driven pop-ups across South Florida, from The Club Fort Lauderdale to Pilates events, Delray’s The Wellness Wave, Fort Lauderdale’s Pyra, Sunnyside Up Market, and even curated spaces like Las Olas Architect Brow Co., among others. Each stop turns into a tasting experience where fitness culture, community energy, and comfort baking all collide in one delicious moment.
“Sometimes I bake with my mom,” said Goldberg. “We’ll be up until 4 am just to get ready for events. We made so many connections, and we get such good feedback.”
Looking ahead, Haley Goldberg has her sights set on expanding into coffee shops and health-focused grocery stores, while also stepping into the world of protein-packed, health-driven juices to complement her brand. With overwhelmingly positive feedback already pouring in, it’s clear her balance of indulgence and intention is resonating and only getting stronger.

Now, every loaf, every swirl, every bite she creates still carries that same golden aroma and sense of home. Only now, it’s fueling a new generation with intention and purpose. What once lived in a family kitchen during the holidays has evolved into something bigger, shared at markets, wellness events, and soon, even more spaces where community and health collide. Just like that original banana bread, her journey continues to rise, being warm, inviting, and made to be shared.
